Catalogues

Most manuscripts preserved in institutional collections have been catalogued at least to a certain degree. 

An (incomplete but constantly growing) repertory of collections and catalogues is the 'Inventory of Libraries and Catalogues of Ethiopian Manuscripts' by Anaïs Wion, Claire Bosc-Tiessé and Marie-Laure Derat (last updated 6 January 2014).

Local catalogues and inventories

Many local collections are being catalogued by the many students of local universities in Ethiopia and Eritrea.

Online catalogues

Examples of electronic catalogues of Ethiopic manuscripts besides the one produced by the Bm project are the partial (work in progress) catalogue of the Hill Museum and Manuscript Library and the Digital Oriental Manuscript Library created by the Ethio-SPaRe project (full search available; manuscript images on request only).
